Stonington, CT and Irvine, CA –July 2, 2007 – Hubbell (NYSE:HUBB) and Solarflare® Communications, a leading provider of high-performance Ethernet silicon, jointly announced today that Hubbell Premise Wiring’s NEXTSPEEDÔ Ascent 10GbE UTP and NEXTSPEEDÔ Shielded 10GbE cabling solutions successfully passed stringent 10GBASE-T performance requirements at Solarflare’s Irvine laboratory. Both unshielded and shielded cabling systems were configured in a worst-case topology defined by the IEEE 802.3 and TIA standards: a 100-meter, four-connector, six-around-one ANEXT bundle. Solarflare’s 10Xpress™ 10GBASE-T PHYs were used for the six disturber channels and for the one victim channel.
